2 week vacation

Yes 2 weeks of vacation, as I went to the doctor yesterday I had a thought about my dad being gone now since May 22, 2009; thinking I wasn't going to spend any more time with him during the holidays. Now I am the only Fisher from the clan of Fisher Tyler Texas here - my days here in Fort Worth are a daily routine.

Fall is coming

We got cooler temperatures in Texas and now there is a large hurrican off mexico which may be coming into texas more rain I hope.

usb adapter

Needing to find a usb thumb drive to down load pics from my ubuntu pc, Friday is here and I'll have monday adn tuesday off for doctor's appointments. Nice 4 days off.

Dad

5/22/09 my dad went to heaven where he will see the saviour and my mother. He died Friday about 2am, when I saw him last he was sleeping although I don't think consciencously, but peaceful. Aftewards I saw him he was what appeared to be serine and I was glad that his time was up for him here, believing he would be in heaven.
I will try and get more photos of him and get them in this as a tribute to the man who took care of my needs until I was able to on my own, and even then with the proding of my mother help in other areas.

Today I received a call about 10:40 am from the hospice, Heidi called to inform me dad had taken a turn for the worse. I left work and came to Baylor hospital. I sat with dad for about an hour and two of his friends from the Baylor cardiac exercise group stopped by, Darlene and Elizabeth. They spoke of how dad was a big hit with all the people who worked out there and about his faithfulness to exercise, undoubtedly they will pass the word about him and his condition.
I spoke to Heidi about dad's condition and she mentioned that he had mottling in his legs and was blue and cold to the touch indicating the conservation of blood to the vital organs. He when I was with him seemed to be breathing OK, but Heidi suggests that is because of the morphine which eases breathing. After speaking with her and trying to get an idea about how long, her indication was that with those symptoms she didn't think it would be to long until he expired. So the wait goes on.

Time will tell

Well on Friday I had a conference call with the eeoc, code of conduct investigation team. About a call in which I referred to Mexico, the political parties in California and about Willie Brown - a black man who was governor about 1987 or so. This is the second offence since Jan 24, when I made a comment about now supporting the "new massa in da white house" and after someone was offended and notified my supervisor was given a "coaching session" and warned NEVER to let this happen again.
I must say I did say these things not out of malice but after being comfortable in this first situation and creating re-pore with a customer violated the code of conduct. As was mentioned in the conference call Verizon has a zero tolerance, I must say my last days with Verizon South West maybe few. Tuesday or Wednesday maybe the end.
I may be in the masses of unemployed by Wednsday and with some money I have saved for a "rainy day", maybe looking for another job, with a lesson well learned - no idle chat.

Easter is Coming

Easter the day of victory for Christians, the day Jesus arose from the dead.
I have been put on phase for supposed customer mistreat, I accept the punishment - but keep my job. This job of customer support is split into increments of tenths of a second, scrutinized by the company. I will do what I am supposed to do.

I am still trying to learn blender and gimp and will be posting to flying colours my other blog.

some time past

It's been some time since I have posted anything, but since my pc died I have reverted to my ubuntu 8.10 pc and have been trying to learn more of gimp. Hopefully I can be a vehicle for the creator to express ideas thru art. Seems I will have to find out how to convert .xcf to .jpeg to get images from gimp in here.
